Brown Wolf
Brown wolves are social pack hunters readily adapted to thrive in most habitats across Nomura and Khalembra.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The brown wolf has a long face with two ears, with a long muzzle full of sharp teeth for tearing at their prey and a rough tongue for scraping meat off bone. They have four muscular legs well suited for endurance running and a fluffy tail which is used to communicate nonverbally to their pack.

Brown wolves are opportunistic carnivores, hunting and scavenging animals of all sizes throughout their range. Favorite prey includes all manner and size of mammal although they have also been known to hunt lizards and fish should the opportunity arise.

Social Structure
Brown wolves are extremely social animals, hunting in packs of at least three up to twenty dependent upon the availability and size of prey within the area. They typically mate for life with both parents assisting in raising the young, who are born in litters containing one to five cubs. Each pack is led by an alpha male and alpha female mated pair.

Brown wolves possess excellent hearing and and sense of smell. Their eyesight is also superior, especially when detecting movement or hunting in the dark. They utilize their imperium to sense the imperium use of others, allowing them to identify the most desperate prey within a group.
